A Message from the Owner
Hi, I'm Mya, the owner and lead planner behind Rivers & Peonies Events.
I've always been drawn to creativity, thoughtful design, and bringing beautiful ideas to life. My journey into wedding planning began when I planned my sister's wedding. Through that experience, I discovered not only how much I enjoyed the planning process itself, but also how meaningful it was to provide someone I love with the peace of mind that comes from knowing every detail is thoughtfully cared for.
That experience inspired me to create Rivers & Peonies Events—a wedding planning company rooted in intentional design, genuine connection, and seamless execution. My favorite part of the planning process is collaborating with talented vendors to bring each couple's unique vision to life. I believe every wedding should feel personal, meaningful, and reflective of the people at its center.
My planning style combines organization and attention to detail with creativity and collaboration. I strive to make the planning process feel exciting rather than overwhelming, allowing couples to enjoy their engagement while feeling confident that every detail is being thoughtfully managed. My goal is for you to feel at ease, supported, and excited as your vision comes to fruition.
When I'm not planning weddings, you'll likely find me reading a good book, practicing yoga, spending time outdoors, or making memories with my family.The name Rivers & Peonies holds a special place in my heart. I've always loved peonies for their timeless beauty and elegance. Throughout my life, I've lived near rivers that have brought me a sense of comfort and peace. Like a river, life is constantly changing, yet there is beauty in the journey. Together, rivers and peonies represent the balance of grace, growth, and enduring beauty that inspires both my work and the celebrations I help create.
